Julius Eastman “The Holy Presence of Joan d’Arc” for 10 cellos
  • The score for this enigmatic masterpiece was lost, and all that remained was an archival recording which Clarice Jensen used to painstakingly construct a transcription. The work was originally premiered at the Kitchen in 1981, and then performed again from this new transcription in April 2016 at the same venue. Future performances include engagements at Met Breuer, The Kennedy Center, and Firenze Suona Contemporanea, among others.
